Public Consultation Event
13th October 2026 2pm - 7pm
Otterham Village Hall
Members of the public are encouraged to have their say on the proposed repowering of the Carwitham Wind Turbine as part of the public consultation process. The deadline for submission of comments is 3rd November 2026.
The public consultation comprises a blend of an in-person event and information on the project website.
The existing 50kW wind turbine (34.2m height to tip) is proposed to be replaced by a 225kW wind turbine (approximately 46m height to tip). The Applicant has invested significantly into new dairy infrastructure at the farm and the repowering of the existing wind turbine will help to ensure that the farm is as self-sufficient as possible for its energy needs.
Members of the team will be available to provide information and answer questions about the project to seek planning consent for the repowering of the existing wind turbine.
Members of the public are encouraged to share their thoughts and queries either at the public consultation event, or via the ‘contact us’ feedback section of the website.
As part of the public consultation process, the project stakeholder engagement team will work with local communities and potential stakeholders to gather and record feedback and local information that will inform the project.
